Missouri graduate guard John Tonje is out for the rest of the 2023-24 season. Missouri men’s basketball announced an hour and a half before taking the court against Alabama on Tuesday that Tonje would sit out the rest of the year due to an injury suffered to his foot.

I feel bad for kid, but I don’t think his 2.6 pts per game was going to help the team.

I’m not sure he wasn’t completely misevaluated.

They said during the game he should quality for medical redshirt. that is why they are shutting him down because if he plays anymore he wont qualify.

Very possible but the MWC is a good basketball league. I'd think a 15ppg player in the MWC should be at least capable of 8-10ppg in the SEC.

Ya, he played in less than 33% of games. Technically its after the halfway point, that's also one of the qualifications. He'll likely get it, but nothing is guaranteed.
