I understand that Ag schools have to archaically “showcase” their product of all that research money on their playing fields. But that doesn’t mean it’s the best option.

THIS RIGHT HERE!
Mississippi State undoubtedly has the most high-tech, state-of-the-art playing surface of any stadium in the country. Designed in house by their own department of landscape architecture. I seriously doubt that any of y'all in Tejas even know how it's constructed. It's a designing and engineering marvel and it's REAL GRASS!
I may not be a State grad, but you have to give credit where it's due.
