Damn ... the OPs bait went completely over my head until just now. I was just worried about me and two of my buddies in their 70s not dying from heat stroke tomorrow. Old CSMs can take it though .... one of the brothers is a Bama fan friend of mine up from Panama City. His first time seeing Bama in person since 1974. Former CSM of Fort Jackson, his brother, the Gamecock fan, is a former CSM of the 82nd Airborne Division and was in my wedding. We're going to get liquored up but we'll hydrate. Bottle of water every third drink tomorrow.

Wonder why Bama fans have such a hard time with the heat?

They're going to experience some good old fashioned Capital City Hell Heat tomorrow. Prof is right .... you gotta experience it once or twice to really understand.

Holtz said it wasn't hell but it was right next door.

Spurrier said it is hotter heat than anything he ever experienced in Florida.

We'll see if it has any effect on the game tomorrow.

They mentioned it in another thread.

The most common reasons I saw were:

1. Their yuge bodies are susceptible to sunburn.

2. Their brains tend to malfunction in regular temperatures, heat adds to the problem.

3. Most can not afford sunscreen.

4. Something they call “Stinking Sis” - I’m not sure what that means.

I don't get it either.

They seem to be in great physical condition compared to your average Tennessee fan.

They have a superb offseason fan conditoning program.
