Wth is the power dive?

It's the center success of the spread offense. In offenses with a large QB like Tebow and Cam the QB runs up the middle on the QB dive. If these plays are allowed to be successful then in order to stop them more LBs and extra safeties have to be brought in to stop this play. This allows for more spaces on the edges for counter plays rather they be quick out passes, RBs coming in motion, or an option game. If the QB is smaller then usually a large back that can take some punishment is brought in to the power inside runs and the quicker QB runs zone reads.

Peyton Barber

I honestly think he will be the go to guy by the middle of the season at running back. Tre Mason even said that he was the best back at AU back in January...for what it's worth.

I honestly don't think we'll be seeing much of Ricardo Louis this year.

Coates, Duke and Cj. I am also calling a Melvin Ray increase. Look for it.

We are going to live and die on offense. Our dline will be solid and we will have very solid linebacker play. Our secondary will struggle. Our defense will live and die by the pass rush. If we dont get to the QB, we will not stop anyone.

We must fire on all cylinders on offense. That will be the task at hand

This

with Marshall, we wont dive him inside much. We do that with Cap this year and Mason last year. Marshall is just another edge running back in that play

but I don't see him as a grind tough yards out betweeen the tackles kind of guy.
He runs too upright and it leaves him exposed for big hits. I agree with you.

i`m going over to Bamamag to read how Lawson was the only AU player that could start for them, this whole thread does`t feel right.

Defense still has to improve and someone has to prove they can run as well as Mason.

Oh ok you were combining the two. I was confused thinking you thought power dive was an actual thing. In the context you presented it in now makes sense.

I doubt that, CAP is a beast. I'm not saying that Barber isn't but I think CAP is gonna have a big year.

I think cap and Grant will handle most of the rb duties and both will be very good and efficient. Tre Mason had a natural gift of vision and quickness combined with running much bigger than he actually was. I don't think we have a guy quite as good as Mason, but we have some really good options.

. I would be completely ok with this. Would give Arkansas fans something to hang their collective hats on and would mean Auburn defeats FSU in a rematch for the title and the new vagina-esque trophy.

"Options" is one word but I say "combinations". CAP and Grant will be that combo. Barber is a possibility but he is still green.
