What does this mean, that if you put another qb thats top 3 in the sec on Alabamas national championship winning team, that they still win it all. What a brave comment.

You're dumb, thanks for playing.

No, it means exactly what THE frick I SAID it means. Aaron Murray is at least as good, if not better than, AJ because he played JUST AS WELL, IF NOT BETTER with less talent around him. Now, who's dumb?

then what is the point of even typing this out? LOL

Because what was said wasn't entirely true. He has had games where he was the worst part of the team, and that lead to losses. Due to some blind luck, the REC scheduling minions, and the efficacy of other parts of "the process", it didn't bite them in the arse. That is a testament to Saban and the whole team, not AJ. To act like AJ is a primary, and non-interchangable cog in the Crimson Tide Machine, that is too far. Is he important? Sure. But there are lost of college QBs that could have done what he's done.

Look;

I know according to the average Crimson Tide fan every Alabama player is the best ever.

The reasonable ones, think that Bama players aren't the best ever, but certified All-Americans are on the 2 deep.

The self loathing ones think that might be too far, but everyone is at least top 3 in the country, and given the coaching staff, that makes them essentially the best in the country.

I get it. I understand how gumps think. That doesn't change the fact that AJ is no where close to the best QB in the country.

You! They had the best o-line in the country, best RBs in the country, best QB in the country, at least 2 of the top 5 WRs in the country, the best coaching staff, the best everything!

This reads like that black kid in a wheelchair on malcolm in the middle talks.

All I know is Aj spikes it and wins the natty. Murray throws the worst completion in the history of sports.

So AJ gets credited for the losses but no credit for the wins...seems legit.

FACT. 3 of those starting 5 are 1st rounders and the center won the Outland and Rimington

best RBs in the country

FACT. Yeldon and Lacy

best QB in the country

FACT. AJ already has 3 NCs. Bout to win a 4th.

SEMIFACT. I'd argue Cooper is the top WR in the country. He is that good.

FACT.

FACT.

Total Offense
1. JFF
37. Aaron Murray
72. AJ

Passing Yards Per Game

19. JFF
25. Aaron Murray
66. AJ

Passing Efficiency
1. AJ
2. Aaron Murray
(19. JFF - Jar full)

Passing Total
19. JFF getting new jar
60. Aaron Murray
85. AJ

I'm just saying....AN ARGUMENT CAN BE MADE that Aaron Murray is at least as good as AJ.

Just saying...

You gotta have championships to be the best. Its a fact in every sport ever invented.

Its the best qb in the country, not the most surprising.

Paul George has been balling on Lebron, but you won't hear any intelligent announcer say he is better than Lebron, why? Cuz he has the title and more seasons to judge from.

And yes, Im calling JFF, Paul George. Has potential, but only time will tell if he can be the best.

But right now, its all Lebron and AJ.

Why in God's name is Aaron Murray considered better than AJ? Dude is a water down DWeurf.

As far as the screen pass argument, wasn't AJ the best in the country with PA passes of 40+? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So, by your logic, Adrian Hubbard is better than Jarvis Jones?

Also, AJ was 2nd in the NCAA for yards per attempt while also ranking 1st in the NCAA for passer rating.

We are talking about QB's with championships and being the best in the country at that position? Hubbard as another year to prove he is better than Jarvis, I guess my logic is still point on.

And change the arbitrary weights of the "passing efficiency" equation that no one knows, and Murray is better than McCarron in all of those categories...

McCarron blows

bottomline

he's really good at screen passes

I can buy the yards per attempt argument, but the QB rating is seriously flawed.

QB Rating Flawed

QB rating flawed some more

So it still stands....Aaron Murray is arguably just as good as AJ. It's okay to admit it, bammers. It doesn't take the shine off that new NC trophy. Nobody (reasonable) is calling AJ a bad QB. It's simply not clear cut enough to declare AJ the end-all be-all. He is definitely ONE OF the best, and may very well be the best. It's really hard to quantify without all factors being equal.

By this retarded logic, every QB that has ever won a superbowl is better than Dan Marino.
