I mean Florida football did pretty much start with Spurrier, not only as coach, but he was the first player at UF to win a Heisman, previous to any dates you have mentioned.

I’d say he is the most influential person when it comes to Florida’s football program.

If Spurrier had stayed at UF and not changed jobs he would have been right behind Saban as one of the GOATS. Really good coach who even turned SC into a contender.

He would have won a few more titles had he stayed at Florida.
