re: 5 Days in Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park

Obviously you can check out The Stanley Hotel which was the inspiration for The Shining.
We hiked the 3 lakes that were mentioned in December 2022, so there was hardly anyone in RMNP. The lakes were all frozen solid. Very cool.
Anyway, we rode around a lot inside RMNP and outside of it looking for wildlife. There were a lot of elk and deer inside the park, but we also saw a bunch of elk along Devil's Gulch Rd which runs northeast from Estes Park. They will be more scarce in the summer months I would think.
We also saw a bighorn sheep along Big Thompson Canyon Dr just east of EP, which is a very cool drive.
