The product is still good enough on its own and there are no alternatives.

Not really. It isn't college football anymore. None of these hired gun mercenaries have anything to do with the schools other than being paid to play there. They aren't real students, they don't interact with the student body, and 98.5% of them couldn't give any less of a frick about fans/alumni.

Without traditions and rivalries, and with unlimited free agency, college football is nothing more than a shittier, watered down version of the NFL.

The top 60 or so college football programs will break off in to a professional league. The remainder will stay in the NCAA. This is inevitable.

This is fine because it will finally bring parity to college football. The first 100 years was great for about 10 programs but the rest of us have had enough. The day of reckoning is here.

FCS has a 24-team playoff and that's good for me.

What I’ve noticed from young people is that they pull for the team they placed a bet on. Some don’t care at all about college sports. Sports gambling is is becoming the biggest pastime for many.

A terrible addiction too

South Carolina doesn't play Georgia, Florida, or Tennessee. Yet we play Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Makes absolutely no sense.
It's fricking stupid.

I know having 4 perms isn't realistic, but I'd love for UGA to play Florida, USC, Auburn, and Tennessee every season.
