Much of the “data” is ridiculous and only things that tenured academics would care about.

For UGA it certainly isn’t based on the student body. The quota system (geographic) prevents them from getting all the top students.

UGA can only take so many of the metro ATL kids. The rest go to Auburn

There is no quota system. It’s a myth created by those that didn’t get in. My kid’s senior class has 110 students and 30 were accepted. They were all in the top 90% of GPA, standardized test scores, and AP rigor.
