Nah. We wouldn’t want a guy that has a losing conference record to Pierce (the worst coach in Texas history yet still has more wins in Omaha than the single-greatest men’s athletic coach in a&m history)

Have never understood why Texas had a turf field. Get with the program!

I never did understand why the CWS was held in Omaha, Nebraska. Charles Schwab Field is okay, but not anything spectacularly awesome

I used to think that too then I went there the year we won the National Championship, now I honestly believe it really is the perfect place to have it and hope it never leaves.

Hopefully going big. School is growing rapidly. If we could hold 15,000 we could sell 15,000 each game for the upcoming Arky series.

More important things to spend money on, like the new Kyle Field.

Okstate’s is nice and SEC fans would love it. Beer and BBQ stands inside, plus alumni have dedicated grills in the outfield where they do big cook outs.

Where are y’all going to put 10,000 extra people? They going to do the tackle box upper deck like the old Kyle field?

Man I remember when y’all built Blue Bell it was awesome. Still is just not big enough. State built at about the right time. New Alex box upped the ante but compared to all the stuff right now it sucks. Alex box’s only redeeming quality is LSU plays in it. Other than that not special. Went to Ole Miss this year and it was a nice stadium. Have been to Baum but not during a game. Nice park

Okstate’s was $70ish million maybe a little more all said and done…granted cost of materials and labor in oklahoma is probably cheaper.

The best part is being able to have a 360 path around the entire stadium

BOR approve 80 M capital plan for Olsen.

To out that in perspective:
-UF built a brand new stadium for 65 M in 2020
-OSU build a brand new stadium for 60 M in 2020 and IMO it’s top tier
-UT’s renovation was 58 M but was upped to 98 M.
-MSU’s renovation was 65 M in 2019. I assume that doesn’t include the lofts.
-The 2011 A&M renovation was 24 M.

With an unbiased but expert opinion, Kyle Peterson put it this way when discussing SEC ballparks: "Ms. State has the best baseball facility, Arkansas the best overall baseball atmosphere, LSU has the best baseball fans". LSU lost out on significantly improving Alex Box when it let LSU's "God", Skip Bertman, design the park. He went cheapo, especially when he simply brought across the street the Old Box's RF & LF metal bleachers. Re Dudy Noble, I still laff remembering this line from a former LSU player: "Skip's scouting report always emphasized making sure to know which way the wind was blowing the bar bq smoke. Wind wasn't the concern, it was the amount of smoke."

Are you still going to blow bubbles like children and taunt pitcher during their throwing motion?
