A vet friend of mine told me that at the time of death the dog looks around and sometimes calls for it’s master one last time. That hit deep for me as I just left the room for my grandma’s dog when his time came.

That’s why I looked into his eyes the whole time. He was in pain but never welped or cried. Poor little fella was just scared cause he didn’t realize what was going on.
