Nashville does not have the airport

But, somehow, the little airport has a Hilton inside it, and it and the Nashville hotels support NFL and NHL games at the same as well as 250k people for CMAs every year. Why do people talk about what they don't know?

I don't know why you'd do it but its a well known fact that Nashville is suffering greatly in attracting events due to a lack of hotel rooms.

NFL Game crowds consist mainly of people who LIVE in the metro area...they do not need an airport or a hotel. The same is true of NHL Games. I know nothing about the CMAs BUT I would posit that it is Nashville's largest single industry and when they have an event the city is probably more or less dedicated to supporting the industry that supports the city every day. They majority of that crowd probably also lives in Nashville since Nashville is the epicenter of recording in the US outside of Los Angeles. Augusta Georgia hosts the Masters which draws somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million people over a 6 day period, most of whom do not live ANYWHERE near Augusta. GOOD luck scheduling ANY other event in Augusta that week...you won't be able to. Augusta's airport is smaller than Nashvilles. Much smaller. Nashville has been named several years running as the metro area in the US with the highest priced hotel rooms...higher than New York and even San Francisco. This is actually a pretty well known fact...spending the night in Nashville is VERY expensive compared to ANY city in the US...compared to comparable cities it is staggeringly expensive.

Atlanta has been hosting super events for years...it is one of the largest convention cities in the world. It is routinely in the top 10 destinations worldwide for convention planners and usually takes the top spot in the US. It is the 80th most visited city on the planet....Nashville is not in the top 500. There simply is no comparison, if youre going to have a crowd Atlanta is as good as it gets at handling crowds and doing so affordably.
