Look everyone is going to turn in everyone now that the “agreement” is over.

Listening to Jay's press conference today, he again made it sound like ear pieces on offense is a common thing. I didn't even know that was legal, let alone common. He made his stance very clear that he'd like to see all electronic devices banned from use on offense. He said they're basically turning "everyone into what happened in MLB a few years ago".

What is one good argument as to why earpieces should be allowed for a hitter? I can't even think of one..

Without them, the signal comes from a coach. With all the cameras now and people willing to livestream into their dugout, they can be stolen much more easily.

I guess I haven’t noticed anyone using them outside of Miss State this year. I’ve noticed what we use on other teams, which is similar to pitch com but a watch type band that’s worn by all players.

I think I mentioned earlier, but I don’t even recall seeing the catchers with the wired earpieces much this year.

State's difference goes up in SEC play.. Idk about the others..

Our home conference games were LSU, Georgia, and Auburn while road games were A&M, Florida, OM, Vandy.

Road competition overall has been tougher

Using “rumor” in this sense because it’s not been made public knowledge yet. But, yes, it’s apparently common knowledge within the league for a few weeks that this has been going on and Schloss speaking to it was less to do with establishing A&M as a victim and moreso pointing out that in addition to what you’re seeing with pitchers using substances, there’s also been this other thing going on

I concur with this, and I would also suspect Schloss would go through SEC office channels if/when he has issues and not to the public per se. In this case, I believe he was just citing there are also other things going on.

It is annoying with the people that won't let it go. The ONLY thing that bugged me about it is how brazen the Georgia pitcher was with it. You would think he would be much more subtle with it. Like put it on your glove on the way to the park on the bus and not there where a fan can video you doing it.

he was subtle enough on the mound to not get noticed.. or they noticed and didn’t care (more likely) .. it took a random fan creeping on the opposing team where they happened to stumble upon the goods.. the video went viral so the coach had to comment on it.. then someone one Texags sent it to Jomboy and here we are..

But seriously, why does that video even exist? Is that not weird to anyone else?

Nah dude, when LSU played at MS State I and other LSU fans thought ya'll had the pitches the way ya'll were on them. Something was definitely fishy. Lemonis was on the hot seat and was desperate to keep his job so nobody is shocked he would stoop to this level. Your once well respected program is now a despicable cheat on the level of the Astros.

"These comments from Schlossnagle come on the heels of another possible cheating scandal in the SEC. Georgia relief pitcher Christian Mracna was seemingly caught applying a foreign substance to his glove before entering the game against A&M last weekend.

“Certainly appears that way,” Schlossnagle told The Associated Press when asked about Mracna. “It’s part of the game … wish we would’ve caught it.”"

So, he DID cheat or he DID NOT cheat? "Wish we would have caught it" seems to DEBUNK the video posted on here.

Yep. I would definitely hope State's home average would be better when they played cellar dwellers LSU and Auburn. A&M, VAndy, UF were on the road.

Simple math alludes pre schoolers some times.

LSU is top 5 in the SEC in ERA and opponent's batting average, and #2 in strikeouts. PLUS, Florida is LAST in the SEC in ERA and 12th in opponent's batting average. Try again.

DVH commented on this yesterday. Seems as though most know about it (that is the way it seems) and it is a team from the East division.

So it never was Arkansas? But the aggies on this site said it was. I guess they get their exercise by jumping to conclusions.

I agree with Dave, it should never have been brought up by that coach.

would you provide a link to anything that supports your claim of an earpiece other than some idiots on tiger rant? if the batter had one, it would be all over the internet, not something that just comes up secondhand 2 months later. the entire series was televised...so lets see what you got.

No, it never was Arkansas. If it was, Schlos likely doesn’t make a comment like he did because of his relationship with DVH and especially from the comments he made a year ago regarding his respect for the Arkansas program and how he wants aTm to grow into that.

It’s very likely Vandy, is my assumption. In several posts last week I pointed that out, but Aggies didn’t want to listen. They only had Daddy on their brains.

“Wish we would have caught it” means wish we would have noticed it during the game.

Schloss had no knowledge of the video during the game.

Well that’s a relief.

I just knew there would be some way for Arky fans to be upset at A&M during a midweek game.
