Jimbo wasn't either. Our squad had way too many preferred walk-ons that were really just the mediocre children of big donors to the 12th Man Foundation.

No doubt. Jimbo is probably as good at coaching as they come...but handling the politics of being the head coach at ATM is like wrangling cats...and very few people are cut out for it. Its the same at any big time program....winning helps but only goes so far, especially if you have a down year...the donors with egos come out of the wood work. Again, speculation on my part but there are a LOT of stories similar in nature at most programs....
