Yep, folks around here think the tornado sirens mean run outside and look at the sky. Kinda defeats the purpose…

You can see them coming pretty well out where you live.
We have too many trees in the southeast, the only thing you'll see is something hitting you in the head in most places.

Hurricanes are very similar down here. You drink outside till it gets too bad then you drink inside till it passes.
