Watched it last night. It was an entertaining movie in a kind of "Escape From New York" or Walking Dead kind of way. Kept waiting for "Snake" Plissken to come save the day in DC, but alas, the forces of good prevailed over anarchy. DC FAFO with California. Strange Alliance with Texas? Florida Men never represented.

Seriously.. Rotten Tomato gave it 81%. Guess you'd have to like absurd plot lines like this and lots of action. There is no back story about what the war is about, just driving around looking at people getting blown up and shot. Very violent and gory at times. In some scenes it definitely catches you off guard.

Favorite scene was "Sammy" mowing down the backwoods militants who's goal seems to be singularly purifying America.

Good review.

I read that the actor scheduled to play the “white nationalist” backed out last minute and Kirsten called her husband (Plemons) to step in. What a boon for the director. That scene was the most tense of the movie in my opinion.

Eh good is reaching there to be fair, there’s a comment made earlier that as soon as the WF takes DC they’ll turn on each other. Obviously the president is objectively the worst but there really isn’t a right side when it comes to which rebel forces to trust

It’s confirmed that the dudes in Hawaiian shirts were part of the Florida Alliance

It’s pretty amazing how many people still don’t know the RT simply takes all the reviews and averages them out

Wasn’t supposed to be it’s about what a civil war in America would look like.
