Nice try, but I don’t need one other example to support my take because…..

1. Coach's dont like to bench proven qbs.
2. Most coaches don’t have a talented backup qb worthy of replacing a proven starter.
3. Very few teams are in a similar halftime situation of that magnitude.

Saban wouldn’t have done it in a regular season game. Saban wouldn’t have done it if the backup sucked.

Why not? It should happen often in big games according to you. I mean shouldn't you at least be able to find some garbage time cases?

You wouldn't have trouble finding coaches doing it in the regular season for some reason. In fact, the earlier it is in the season, the more likely it's going to happen.

What part of this do you not understand?

Proven multi year starting qbs do NOT get benched often.

It takes a LOT for a coach to make a move that harsh. Thats why it is so rare. Thats why he didn’t do it against AU after that terrible first half performance. Thats why he did it against UGA after that terrible first half performance.

According to you, it is normal, it happens often, every year, every conference, so let’s see your long list of proven, multi year starting qbs getting yanked at halftime of a regular season game.

I can’t wait to be underwhelmed with your list.
