Bad timing to lose a game they absolutely couldn't afford to lose. Who was getting left out? 13-0 Michigan, 13-0 Washington, the 12-1 Alabama team they just lost to, or the 12-1 conference champion Texas who had a win at Alabama?
It was a perfect storm.

I agree 100 percent with the perfect shite storm part. Based on 10 years of CFP Committee precedent, we didn't deserve to make the Final Four and I knew we wouldn't make it. Had our chance and blew it.
I still contend that Florida State is the one that got screwed, based on CFP Committee precedent.
