I don't know enough about tariffs and how they affect large complicated economies to debate them.
But I do recognize double standards when I see them.

Things worse than tariffs for consumers:
-Money printing
-Shutting down economy for a cold
-Excessive regulations
-Bureaucracy and red tape
-Illegal immigration
-Progressive income taxes
-Impeding oil production and refinery
-Lawlessness
-Lawfare against those with wrong opinions
-Government mandates
Could go on and on. Tariffs are a necessary evil because our own government has made it incredibly hard to manufacture things here.
