re: Why hasn't auto insurance come down yet

One can look at all kinds of explanations, factors and formulas, but in my experience car insurance generally never comes down. I've been buying car insurance >40 years and the only time I've experienced a significant drop in the premium was due to a specific change in insurance company, vehicle, location, etc. At 18 yo I was told it'd go down at 21 yo. It didn't. I was told it'd go down when I went from 2 door to 4 door. It didn't. I was told It'd go down when I got married. It didn't. I just shop it regularly looking for the best deal, but never expect a significant drop in the premium.
