I know Mitch well enough to know that if something like this was going on, he would deal with it immediately.

Well, if the lawsuit is correct (and it should be easy to prove with the paper trail) he didn't. Neither did Compliance Officer Sandy Bell. And they will be rightfully fired for it:

quote:

In July of 2023, Bell reported directly to Athletics Director Barnhart.

276. Bell was unsurprised to hear these allegations of sexual assault againstJorgensen, stating, “Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have heard of this.”

277. Upon information and belief, Bell reported Jane Doe’s allegations toAthletics Director Barnhart.

278. Neither Bell nor Barnhart undertook any follow up measures inresponse to Jane Doe’s allegations, failing to: a) personally investigate Jane Doe’s allegations; b) escalate Jane Doe’s allegations for follow up or investigation; and c) report JaneDoe’s allegations to UK’s Title IX Office or the EEO Officeof Institutional Equity and Equal Opportunity

Geez, what a bunch of idiots. In any company you get harassment training as a manager and the first thing you do is elevate a complaint to HR. You listen to people and take it seriously. This is grounds for firing. You can’t just hope it goes away.
