As soon as you leave Conway you start climbing. Nice ride all the way up to the Missouri line….

Depending on where you're headed, there's a couple of cool little towns going up that way. Mountain View to the east or Jasper to the west

We are in Eureka Springs…the Basin Park Hotel is a nice joint. Great weather too. This morning we visited Thorncrown Chapel and Christ Of The Ozarks. This place is a strange combination of super religious/conservative and totally left/liberal. Not sure how they make it work, but it seems to be working. This is the first time I’ve been here when it wasn’t packed. This is a MUCH better experience. Also, I need to add that there is a UFO Convention in town this weekend. I’m just sayin’. BTW, HRV or anyone else for that matter, what are the restaurants in this area that I really need to try? The pancakes at the Mud Street Cafe this morning were awesome.

Yes, besides the Buffalo River, you could veer to a east a bit and hit Mountain View for historical bluegrass music

back to the Buffalo River area, the Waltons have begun buying up property in the tributary areas that begin the river around Kingston (famous for Madison Guarantee of "Whitewater" fame, and Jim McDougal) - Waltons have big plans in that area I believe
