Just got back home! I appreciate the recommendations, friend

First day we took your advice and went out to Sullivan’s Island to check out the beach. Beautiful (but windy) day. Then had dinner at Poe’s (fish tacos were great!)

Second day it rained like hell but we visited the Ft. Sumter visitor center downtown before walking up and down King Street for some shopping. Then headed out to Ft. Moultrie as you suggested and did the tour out there. Finally went home to dry out and then had dinner along Shem Creek.

Third day we visited the Drayton plantation and then went back down to King Street for lunch and more shopping. Had dinner at Home Team BBQ out in Mt. Pleasant (loved the sweet red sauce! Tasted like KC. The mustard was good too).

Last day we took the ferry out to Ft. Sumter and toured around, then walked through the USS Yorktown before heading out to the airport.

Once again, huge thanks for the recommendations…it really was a big help

Charleston was great…will absolutely visit again!
