I don't bring my kids to Minute Maid, even for LSU games, because of the food costs. Tickets - 22 each at club level. Two beers and kid food and ice cream, $135. Not including parking.

Brother, I feel you on this.

A buddy and I have season tickets to Alabama basketball games, and during random weeknights it used to be a thing for us to just grab something to eat there, like Dreamland nachos (which has their BBQ meat on top).

It was delicious, and HUUUGGE. Perfect sporting event splurge.

But since COVID, the "nachos" now consist of a pre-packaged bag of chips, a cup of cheese sauce, a cup of jalapenos, and a small amount of meat in foil. The drinks are bottles instead of souvenir cups.

And now those "nachos" are $15, and a soft drink bottle is $10, before tax.

So we just hit a bar on the strip instead or avoid it altogether rather than paying thirty bucks for that garbage.

It’s outrageous. Growing up we went to games at the Astrodome. Prices weren’t bad but my dad was a real penny pincher. He’d pack us some sack lunches and we’d eat those in the parking lot before going in. Occasionally he’d splurge on a bag of peanuts then go find us a water fountain because the idea of paying for drinks was foreign and absurd.
