Because Broome was at his best one on one in the paint. Teams were already doubling him there. Adding more bodies to the paint would have completely nullified him and Cardwell’s offensive bag consists of dunking.

Sure, and I can accept that at times. But Broome wasn’t always in the paint, he even would move outside to the 3 point line on occasion.

I could make an argument Broome could have been better at times as a power 4 with another big man. I don’t have experience with seeing it and maybe it never worked.

But again, Yale had nothing big outside of Wolf. I’m just not sure in those instances why pressing the hell out of the paint doesn’t make sense.
