Your Vol friends must not know much about SEC baseball and the capabilities that State has regarding baseball.

This is where the confusion comes from, what makes them different from Tenn? 1 Covid championship (and a while much larger) a stadium that seats about 12k? Can’t imagine Tenn doesn’t have the funding to catch up with states facilities in about 4-5 years time if it cared to

There's a lot of things that separate State from UT baseball wise. Namely it's the baseball culture and fan support that's existed since the Ron Polk era.

You already answered yourself though. "Can’t imagine Tenn doesn’t have the funding to catch up with states facilities in about 4-5 years time if it cared to"
State does care, and they will put up the money and support that UT has never had in the entire history of their baseball program.

That’s the thing, renovations are already in progress on the stadium and the player training areas. Capacity is already at 5,500 this year and will be around 8,000. All at the request of Tony V. And also it’s not in Starkville Mississippi.

Tony Vitello didn't build it, but renovated Lindsey Nelson Stadium was Tennessee coach's vision

$95 million approved for upgrades to LNS

Tennessee has approved $95+ million for the baseball alone. Money isn’t an issue for Tennessee, and we will spend what we need to stay competive in baseball. They are not spending $95 million on the stadium to just all of sudden let Vitello walk and not continue to be great in baseball. Just get used to it, Tennessee baseball is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

LSU fans are just the worst. Anytime a LSU fan says “covid season” in any sport you know they shite the bed in that sport that year.

I don’t know why the OP has such an inferiority complex that he started this thread, but he does. I bet he is French acadian.
