Bill Walsh College Football '95 for Sega Genesis.
Was the 2nd game in what would become the EA Sports NCAA Football franchise.
And when you had players on the team what were listed as "WR #84" whose attributes were remarkably similar to a Wide Receiver, #84 on a given team, the players were being screwed. EA, the NCAA, and CLC could have come to an out of court agreement where the players got a cut (maybe a few hundred bucks each and a copy of the game on the platform of their choosing) and the old system would still be intact.

It was a Colorado WR that had to give up a sunglasses sponsorship that he had as an Olympic skier and sit a year that started the discussion. Then some PAC12 gymnastics girls were not allowed to monetize their social media thirst traps. Then the video game fiasco pushed it to the forefront.

That was the biggest load of crap that the Olympic Skier couldn't get sponsored because he played football.

It’s crazy that guys like Jim Tressel wouldn’t have been fired if NIL was legal. I always thought he got screwed.

It was a small price to pay so Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State could keep paying players and stocking 5* talent.
Saban decided the sacrifice was worth it.
