I laugh because I finished my enlistment right before all this went down. So I spent the Gulf War watching, waiting to be recalled to duty (I wasn't), and worrying about buddies still in there. Very surreal.

Armyman, curious, are you getting these from history.com? I get a "This date in history" email every morning and a lot of it lines up with what you post.

Is there a better website (I'm sure there is, History Channel or w/e isn't the greatest) to use? For the days you can't make the posts

We had a guy in our unit who got called back. Lost his job. He was the surliest guy ever. I didn’t blame him. We mostly left him alone. Tried to not ask him to do much besides gear maintenance and inventory. Actually didn’t need him to be there. I’m not sure why they recalled many for that one.
