Does anyone view Ohio State as a destination job for basketball?

They won a tournament in 1960 and that's it. OSU isn't Kansas, UNC or Duke. They're not even UVA, Michigan STate or Florida.

I mean it's a better job than UGA in basketball, but that applies to more than half the coaching jobs in college basketball. Unless some coach is a graduate, I fail to see why someone having significant success would go to a place that expects championships but hasn't' won one in 60 years.

Wait, other schools actually want Buzz after how he’s performed at A&M so far? Be our guest, Bjork should still have his phone number saved, tell him to give Buzz a ring please.

several of those do not need to audition for anything. If they want the OSU job, which I contend is a shitty job, then all they have to do is tell their agent to call the right person in charge. OSU does not command the attention that the FB job does.

Bruce Pearl is not going to the school that turned him in to the NCAA.

beating a flawed Purdue team and having success as an interim coach usually doesn't work out that well. same with basing success off a march madness run. look at the horns

Then what should we look for in a coach?

They have better basketball facilities than most SEC teams and have been to 10 Final Fours. Any SEC coach other than Kentucky's would probably consider an offer from them at a minimum.

Calipari would consider Ohio State if not for his lifetime contract. Kentucky fans want to ride him out on a rail.
