OK... If a hotdog has chili on it are you eating a soup or a sandwich?

Damn that's too much to think about.
A hotdog is a hotdog. With chili, it's a chili dog.
I did find out in upstate NY, they have this thing called a Michigan (hotdog with something similar to skyline chili minus the cinnamon).
Buffalo people though, call them poop canoes.
