I’m under no illusion that this is an Omaha squad.
I think it is, but only because we're built so well for a tournament setting. Eventually we'll just outlast the competition we'll face in regionals with the parade of arms. The sheer amount of people we can call on to just throw strikes is abnormal for a college team. Supers is where I'll get a little nervous.

We're not hoisting anything if the hitting doesn't get better, though.

The problem is that we consistently use our two best pitchers in the same game.

Until I see our lineup stop taking Fridays off and afford us the ability to use Gaeckle in longer relief of Molina or Tygart given their inconsistency issues, I’ll be skeptical.

I fully expect us to play some team like Grand Canyon in game 1 of the regional and have to use Gaeckle because we’re in a 2-1 nail biter in the 8th because we can’t back up Hagen.

We’ve got to start putting a barrel on a ball.

We have way too good of a pitching staff to not go all the way, unfortunately we have this same old terrible offense. How does DVH not see the glaring weakness? I clearly still hope we win it all despite the offense. Maybe the pitching is just that good.
