They don’t make good money and they don’t get good ratings until the playoffs. Teams in conferences without revenue sharing many times lose money going to bowl games after expenses

As far as gambling, hard to bet on games when you have no idea who’s suiting up

And suddenly a lot more people will care about D2, which my Alma Mater just won btw, and we'll get CFB from the glory days back again. Just with a few different faces.

That won't be an issue because the really good players, the one's that got them to the bowl game would probably opt out anyway
