I’d take .500 or better in conference play

I think they’re going to be better than that. They’re as under the radar as a team can get right now. White has put together a really good roster on paper.

What’s the roster look like this year?

I’m working on roster and schedule. It’ll be up soon.

Kneehigh will do his thing later but one thing roster-wise I'm especially excited about is Russel Tchewa, big man transfer USF. He's a legit 7' and a girthy one at that not rail thin. I honestly don't know if we've had a player like that that is actually capable of playing major minutes in my lifetime. The first centers I recall us having when I first starting paying attention to bball were Robb Dryden and STeve Thomas. It feels like with VERY RARE exceptions we have never had a true big man center that had some offensive game and was a rim enforcer. We've had guys like Takais Brown or Yante that played the 5 position that had some good offensive game but weren't real imposing defenders. We've had guys like Rashaad Singleton that were tall but were basically baby giraffes on offense that could barely dribble. I think Nic Claxton is the only guy I can recall that played Center for us that had the height you want at the 5 and could score and defend.
Tcehwa looks to be able to do it all plus he's an established college player alrady so should contribute right away. Really looking forward to seeing him this year.

Really excited to see what this team can do. Not getting my hopes up too high, but would love to see us as fighting for a tourny spot.

Thomasson was the last to sign with UGA. The fact that he was picked to go to media days along with Justin Hill instead of a guy who’s been around tells me he’s gonna be really important to this team.
I think we roll with this lineup to open vs Oregon
G: Thomasson
G: Hill
F: Melendez
F: Deloach
C: Tchewa
6: Jabri
7: Sunahara
8: Cain
9: Moncrieffe
10: James
11: Anselem
12: Demary
13: Jordan

Let’s talk recruiting
Georgia is in it down the stretch for these 3 players:
Asa Newell is the brother of Jaden Newell, who is a walk-on at Georgia. We’ve been considered the favorites for 2 years now, but Gonzaga, Bama and Texas are making late pushes. Just gotta hold on.
We’ve been a distant 3rd for Derrion Reid for most of his recruitment, but we’ve had a late push and are supposedly right there at the top with FSU and Bama now. This one could really go any way.
Khani Rooths has publicly stated he will wait for Asa Newell to commit before he does. They only share one final school (UGA), so it’s fair to assume that if Newell commits to UGA, Rooths will follow him shortly.
All 3 are expected to commit in the next couple weeks. We could get all 3 or we could get zero. Fingers crossed.

After listening to CMW’ PC, I think we can expect Silas Demary to play the most of the freshmen early on. Sounds like he’s set to be our backup PG and 6th/7th man

I'm all for good bball recruits but Coach White better not be dipping into the football slush fund
