I worked in advertising for a decade. Shortening the playing times of games would not, in and of itself, create more ad inventory.
Of course, if they kept the same block of tv time, and shortened the game, then obviously that combo would create more inventory.
It’s hard to imagine them keeping the same slotted tv time for shorter playing time and filling the difference with commercials. That would be intolerable. frick.
