Our WR room looks really good for 2024. We have the talent, now we need the production.

That would fall under needing production, no?

Those ON3 rankings are not great lol. Not just talking about our guys either. They really need to make some changes in scouts or something, because they are just so far off from everyone else it doesn't make sense.

On3 has a "unique" way of seeing things to say the least. From what I know their projections have ALOT to do with draft potential. A guy like Waller was rated so low without the ability to move up because of height and a "just" a solid to average 40time(4.67). They tend to do this with most of their evaluations. It's all about draft potential with them.

It's not going to be a surprise to anyone when he is really good lmao
And yet all anyone talks about is Cam Coleman and Ryan Williams. And a little bit of Bryce Cain.
And you realize not everyone is a die hard recruiting fanatic, right? They hear about one or two recruits (in our case Cam and probably Walker) and then get "surprised" when a breakout player emerges.
To most fans, these players are just incoming freshmen. Stars mean nothing to them.

"A lot of people are going to be surprised by this recruiting class because most people don't follow recruiting"
If a fan doesn't know about Perry Thompson, who is a 5* WR from Alabama, they don't really have any business being surprised because they don't know anything about recruiting and have no basis on which to expect anything from the recruits... this is a recruiting board so the implication is obviously that Perry Thompson is going to outperform, not that the average person has no clue who the recruits are.

Bryce Cain.
Jayson Jones said Bryce was working really hard and had a 36” or 38” vertical while in the weight room. Jones couldn’t remember the exact number

Tennessee got some five star DE from Vestavia Hills Alabama that finished higher ranked on the overall board than Perry and I have no clue who he is and the Bama people during our water cooler chats had no clue who he was as well.

I’d say the average male Auburn fan knows who Perry Thompson is.

Y’all are currently arguing about the most pointless shite.
We need some news. Who’s the DC?

Jordan Ross. He grew up an Auburn fan, but Freeze didn’t really pursue him, neither did Saban for some reason. He’s pretty skinny. Maybe that’s why.

See the OC/DC thread.
But only if you want bad news.

Someone told me Harsin dropped the ball on recruiting him and Ross had zero interest since then. True?

Us nor Bama had any interest in Ross. Not sure why but speaks volumes that neither in state team put any effort into recruiting him. Since we had no interest I never even watched film on him and as others have said not much was mentioned about him as well and around the metro area very little talk among the high school coaches

He’s soft as charmin. Takes lots of plays off. Etc.

I've heard the same. The last thing we need is another Byron Cowart type talent giving minimal effort.

So you're saying he's the next Osi Umenyiora or DeMarcus Ware. Got it!
