Grubb is the Huskies’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Kalen DeBoer. Grubb played receiver and running back at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, in the mid-1990s.

The 10-2 Huskies, who face Texas in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on Thursday night, rank second nationally in total offense with 522 yards per game. Grubb spent the prior five seasons with DeBoer at Fresno State, and in 2020 and 2021 the Bulldogs led the Mountain West Conference in total offense.

Grubb in November became the highest paid assistant in Huskies history at $1.45 million annually starting in 2023 and his contract escalates slightly over the following two years. He has been an assistant at Washington, Fresno State, Eastern Michigan, Sioux Falls and South Dakota State.
