The truth is we have the same exact issues on offense this year that we’ve had every single year.

That's recency bias talking. Fisher had solid offenses in 2018 and 2020. They have never been this bad. The entire team is at fault, not just Fisher.

Nope. While it hasn't been this bad it has never been anywhere near good enough relative to the talent that we have on this team. Hell, Jimbo's best offensive year was year 1 which theoretically should have been his worst year b/c everyone was still having to learn what is supposed to be a very complicated system.

Also, the point I was making was not that every Jimbo offense has been as bad as this one. It's the the same problems within the offense have never really gone away. Things like the play call always taking too long to get in, the team taking too long to get lined up causing them to waste time outs or worse to rush the play and not be properly set, constant pre snap penalties, massive difficultly getting big chunk plays, hardly any deep balls thrown, inability to play fast when needed...

At first these issues were chalked up to "Well they have to learn the system" then it went to "Well it must be Mond's fault" then it was "Calzada just doesn't have it we would have won with King" to "King is a turnover machine, we just need a steady hand" to "Ehh let's throw in the freshman so he can learn the system."

Again, at some point you can't blame the players anymore. He had one decent year and then everyone in the SEC got their film on A&M and basically gotten worse ever since. The guy is supposed to be an offensive mastermind yet the best offense for A&M he has put out was 5 years ago and it wasn't even in the top 20.
