Is CKD's new defensive coordinators running the same D as the Washington staff?

Yes, both Kane Wommack and Maurice Linguist used the 4-2-5, which is what Washington used. Wommack has extensive background in using the 4-2-5, his Dad was a guru on the 4-2-5, and Kane used it as DC under HC Tom Allen at Indiana. Linguist used it at Buffalo, and coached CB's for the Dallas Cowboys, who I believe used the 4-2-5 then (the Cowboys use it now).

Hope we don't play the Packers .

Damn although we were basically running a 4-2-5, I just can't believe it is truly the end of the Saban 3-4.

Here's excerpts from a Tuscaloosa News article on him:

He arrived at Buffalo after one season as the cornerbacks coach with the Dallas Cowboys. Under his watch, the Cowboys had 10 interceptions and were ranked among the top half of NFL teams in passing first downs allowed (fifth), passing yards allowed (11th), completion percentage allowed (10th) and takeaways (ninth).

Before accepting the position with the Cowboys, Linguist spent six seasons coaching at the Power Five level, going from Iowa State (2014-15) to Mississippi State (2016) to Minnesota (2017) to Texas A&M (2018-19). He was the defensive backs coach at each school except for Mississippi State, where he was the safeties coach.

Brailsford started all 15 games for Washington this season, 13 at center. All-Pac-12 second team, first-team Freshman All-America (FWAA, AFCA, PFF, College Football News, College Football Network). Would be a great addition.

Yes we want a guy who just won freshman All American center to rejoin his head, coordinator, and offensive line coaches. Was Seth freshman All American?

All fat black guys look the same to UA23 guys! Cancel him!

That's Josh Chapman. No clue what he's doing. Maybe he's designated as a recruiter until we hire our last coach.

Everyone looks so different without their helmet on. He must have lost a foot of height after his playing days.

Hopefully, Alabama won't get in a NIL bidding war with anyone. Apparently, Alabama cannot out bid other schools.

Noah Carter (just released from his Washington LOI) will be visiting this weekend per a post from his 'X' account.

I'm not gonna be a doomsayer, although these last few days have sucked. However, getting Ryan Williams back on board this weekend would be ENORMOUS for DeBoer just from a PR standpoint with other recruits. Hopefully it can happen.

Pretty sure that dude had posted on his social media how we was "locked in" or whatever so if he's already flip-flopping I'd rather get him out now

He took multiple visits to Florida before being persuaded to sign with Alabama. I never got the sense that he was fully committed. It’s best to purge players that don’t actually any part of the team.

It's hard, but agreed. I think our team chemistry will be better next year, with our team talent being slightly worse. But this was expected when Saban announced his retirement. Let's hope we don't lose much more, and start getting some wins in the transfer portal.
