It’s easy to get get caught up in UF’s last place recruiting finish. But that’s not seeing the forest through the trees. Billy N going into IMG 2 weeks on the job and stealing a 5 star safety is a potential huge problem for the rest of the conference. UF wasn’t even in his top 4 before Napier took over.

IMG is arguably the most dominant high school program in the country and it’s 2.5 hours away from Gainesville. UF has NEVER recruited them successfully. If this is a sign of foreshadowing for how things are about to go down with some of the major Florida HS powers…watch out.

Like Tommy Bowden said, “He’s a tenacious recruiter,” Bowden says. “He’s like a pit bull. He gets his teeth in one and he don’t let go.”

Obviously a lot needs to be proved on the field but yesterday was a major development for the SEC. Watch the video I posted of this dude if you doubt him. Gators are going to be back under him. LINK

One player doesn’t make a trend. I’d pump the brakes a little.

Given that, for UF’s sake I’m assuming recruiting can only go up.

Napier inherited an absolute shite-show and it is going to take some time to fix all the problems that got dropped into his lap. Still, I think if the gator faithful are patient and give him time to build, he will prove himself. The UF brand can still sell itself in a very talent-rich state. I have no doubt he will recruit well.

He will be much better than the Goober who preceded him. I think it's early to put him on Kirby's level, but he will be significant competition in Florida which was open season previously.

IMG is a school that is RIPE with recruiting violations. It about the dirtiest place in the country as far as that goes. All you have to do is look at the schools where those kids go to see the teams that are "stretching" the rules. (Hint: It's eat up with UGA and Bama signees....)

To go into that place is to swim in dangerous waters. However, given the talent at that place, most coaches are forced to swim with the sharks...

I think everything is about to change in the state of Florida. Florida will be back in 2 years and probably stronger than ever. Even Spurrier didn't like to recruit. Now, Florida has a recruiting machine and the other schools in the state suck. Both of those things together has never happened before.

Getting Kamari Wilson had a lot to do with Corey Raymond joining the Florida staff. Not bad for a washed up DB coach according to the LSU faithful. Ain't that something how they talk about a native Louisianian who played for LSU, graduated from LSU, and was one of the greatest position coaches in LSU history. LSU fans are some sick people.
