Y’all call that runnning him into the ground. I call it running to an Iron Bowl win. It’s pure speculation to believe we would win the second game anyhow.

During the half time interview Kiffin against us he said he had to do whatever takes to win against us. And that included pain pills for Corral or whatever shot cocktail he had to take. Football isn’t for the feeble minded. shite happens.

Not just the IB, but over the course of the entire season. Stuff adds up. We could have rested KJ in games and let others carry the load, but as stated above, Gus played favorites. Sort of a chicken and the egg scenario. Players didn't get the reps they wanted, acted up, stopped working as hard in practice because - why bother, and then Gus 'punished' them by not giving them reps. So they acted up more... Just and outside opinion.

ran KJ down to the nub

I absolutely love this ubiquitous Auburn Board narrative. Ironically, it probably comes from most of the same people who argue we didn't run Tank enough this year.

KJ had 1,391 rushing yards in 2017. That's good enough for 6th in a single season in Auburn history. He would also rank 6th in a single season at Alabama. He's 3rd in a single season in rushing touchdowns, and 5th in rushing touchdowns in his career.

This notion of "Running KJ into the ground in 2017" is merely people looking for someone to blame for how bad we sucked after he went down
