True but the level of arrogance he demonstrated during his contract negotiations the last time was off putting. Arkansas paid him what he thought he was worth, has he proven to Arkansas he was worth the salary since then?
Let's say he wins out and make a bowl game, do you think he will be humble and admit the team underperformed or do you think he will beat his chest about proving the doubters wrong?
All of this is very off-putting.

No he hasn't, but let's be honest here. Losing is what is offputting. If he was winning, we wouldn't give a damn if he wrecked a harley with his mistress on board, and lied about it on national tv, and put the UofA on thin ice legally. Because we are sick and tired of being a sick and tired program. We are LOSERS period.

I’d agree if he weren’t saying what he is during his pressers. That may be genuine. But it merits a lot of vitriol. You must be completely naive or work the best job ever. Because if I EVER f-Ed up and said “I just didn’t know what to do” to my boss, I’d be fired and I think most other people on here would be too. His lack of adjustment or being able to answer hard questions shows that he doesn’t give AF.

I think before the State loss, Sam was trying but he just has limited knowledge because he struggles with the title of being the head coach.
He still thinks like he is an OL coach who isn't used to making all the hard decisions.
