There is more to it than acting like it, expectations, and money.

You still need competency from the top down and accountability.

Aggy acts like it, expects it, others sees them as it, and they always done their best to buy it, but they ain't it.

It isn't a wish it, want it, achieve it scenario. You have to employee ads and coaches who want success, not a pay check.

Our best coaches all share they hated losing more than the like winning, when we haven't had that in football, the bottom isn't a shallow as thought.

There is always the outliers who do just enough but never anything of consequence (HDN, SH, DVH) we have a AD looking for this guy, thinking it's the safe bet, yet they crash and burn worse than the all or nothing type hire.

Aggies have that Texas arrogance, not like the ones in Austin but arrogant enough to believe that they can pay 100 million in cash to be elite in football.

We see how big of a failure that is but they have never seen themselves of who they are and is a 8-4 program.

The far majority of power 5 programs are 8-4 year in and year out. But the aggies have too much pride to believe they are on par with any average team in the SEC.

It doesn't help that the Texas media and the outside media keeps pumping the sunshine and have done so for decades that A&M is a sleeping giant and it is just a matter of time.

It has been over a 100 years and the aggies are still sleeping. They still believe it but like Nostradumas, if you keep making the same prediction each year then eventually it will come true right?

DVH is by far the most successful coach of the three and it isn't up for debate.

No way I would have him in the same sentence as the loser Houston Nutt.

I would honestly be worried that something had happened to Dale if a shot at DVH wasn’t thrown in to one of his status of the Hogs posts. Like he’s trying to tell us he’s been kidnapped.

Apparently there has been a little more clarity on the keeping Sam situation by a 247 poster who says he's been hearing things from inside the program. So take this however you want.

Cliffs:

- Admin and BOT think Sam is a good coach. Why? He won in 2021. He didn't forget how to coach, he just needs a great OC.

- It's all Cody Kennedy's fault and Oline play. Kennedy will be fired, but it will be the 'you need to find another job and then we will announce you left on your own will' type of canning because Sam loves Kennedy too much to openly fire him.

-It was also all Enos' fault, too. He would not implement the offense he was supposed to.

- Willing to pay top OC $2M

- NIL will fix everything, including all locker room issues because now everyone will get paid. Too much jealousy and pettiness from other directed at guys who were making $ and not performing.

- Leadership knows Sam needs help, but still believe he can win again... cause 2021. Think the Aranda situation at Baylor.

- Ath dept is finally all getting along. Sam is nice to everyone. No major coaches hate each other. That is a big factor.

If this is actually the case, he was insubordinate and should be fired for cause with no buyout.

That's Sam specialty. He didn't see that coming? Do you think Saban would have seen a problem with his DBs? And if he did do you think he would have let the coach keep coaching them?

That supposed insider info isn’t exactly breaking news. Most of it we discussed here.

Improving our offensive line and our NIL wouldn’t suddenly take away Pittman’s faults, but it would inevitably improve our win total. Of course it would help any coach as well, but other coaches would be somewhat of an unknown and would have their own faults.

That sounds wonderful.

Money will fix all of the problems.

Typical pattern with Pittman. All someone else’s fault and the next guy is the answer.

- All the DB coach’s fault we lost Foucha and Brooks after 2021.
- Former S&C coach was stirring shite up in the locker room, and it’s his fault we lacked team chemistry in 2022 and sucked in short yardage situations.
- Briles was the reason for our red zone failures and (partially) our defensive woes.
- Enos’s fault he ran an offense ill-suited for our personnel, and it’s his fault he didn’t run the same offense we practiced.
- Kennedy’s fault our OL took a step back.

Remind me, who is the common denominator who hired (and is supposed to oversee) all those guys?

Actually he blamed the players not Kennedy for the oline.

Red zone offense was and is a problem. Simply put, look at Mizzou, their biggest turn around can be contributed to damn near 100% red zone scoring.

Difference between a good and great season? Higher TD to FG red zone scoring percentage.

Maybe. What I saw against Missouri was a complete lack of effort. But they were so excited!!!!!

We could hire the best OC out there and it would do nothing for me. Sure we’ll be decent for a year or two but then when the coordinator bolts for another gig we’ll be in this same shitty situation.
