A'Shawn Robinson to the Panthers, 3yrs/$22.5 million.

Bama boys making some money. Calvin Ridley will probably get a big deal tomorrow too. Having to wait till the new league year to save the Jags a 2nd round pick as part of the Falcons trade deal.

Several big Bama names due for a new contract soon. Tua is the next big gun. Expected to get $50-$55million/yr

Every guy wants to "reset the market."

I always thought it was pretty telling when Tom Brady played for $25 million/year...he wanted to win and he never saddled the Pats with a crippling contract. People say..."but his supermodel wife made..." Sure...but he wasn't exactly starving making the $25 million. Today guys just want every dollar they can get. I'd just like to see guys be more concerned with winning than having their agent rangle every nickel possible.

Sadly, you can now say the same about college football players.

And then they kept Bellichick instead of him.

I’m in favor of a bit of loyalty but if you’re bringing in bum arse wide receivers with the money I’m saving you and hiring retread coordinators and then picking the guy making the bad decisions then I might wish I’d just reset the market a few times.

The #Patriots and their own LB Anfernee Jennings have agreed to a 3-year deal for him to return to New England, sources say, another expected re-sign for the Patriots. Jennings started 14 games and had 66 tackles.

Heavily incentive/performance laden contract. Seeing more of these lately.

Will Saban players eventually hit $3 billion in NFL contracts?

Depends if he ever gets credit for Hurts, if Bryce pops off, and what Tua gets.

Also, who knows, maybe Mac Jones eventually turns himself into Kirk Cousins. Btw, Kirk has the GOAT agent, dude has over $350 million in career earnings

That’s fantastic for Ridley. Making up for the year he lost.
Getting paid more than Julio ever did. More than Amari too I presume?

Ridley, despite starting at Bama the year after Cooper graduated, is only 6 months younger than Cooper. So this was his only chance at a big payday. He's 29, almost 30. His freshman year at Bama he was 21yrs old. Which was part of the reason he was so good that year.

Cooper current contract is 5yrs, $100million with $60million gtd. He will be a FA next year and will probably get a 2 or 3 year deal at around $20million a year. So Cooper is gonna make way more over his career. His career earnings at the end of next season will be $136 million. He should come close to $200 million total.

Julio has made roughly $150 million. His prime was in a era with much lower salary averages.

Edit: Waddle and Devonte will both probably get contracts in the $25-$30 million/yr range in the next 2 years. But Jefferson and Chase both might get $35 million/yr

I'm a Ridley fan and was wanting the Pats to trade for him with the Falcons for peanuts like Jacksonville did to give Mac a legit threat... glad he didn't go there now.

Good for him...but I do think the Titans way overpaid. He may be a legit WR1, but his best season was as a WR2 to Julio.

CJ Mosley re-signs with the Jets. 2yrs/$17.25million with $13.5 gtd.

Tony Brown has also signed with the Cleveland Browns as a special teamer/deep depth CB. Was the worst coverage graded corner in the NFL last year according to PFF. Still no idea what he did to get released by the Colts.

C.J's deal brings the yearly total for former Bama players up to $439.05 million.

Kudos to Tony Brown for managing to stay in the league for several years. Can make a decent living being a special teams stud apparently.

Da'Shawn Hand re-signs with the Dolphins. No word on deal, likely near vet minimum.

Mac made a thank you and farewell NE post on Instagram and most of the comments are Pats fans apologizing on behalf of the Patriots org for failing him.
