Yeah but he was a scapegoat from the beginning. The hire wasn't thought to bring OM's program up to where Freeze had it, it was to weather the sanctions and make a real hire when the storm passed.

Any worse than slingblade? There were lot of frauds. Hell, Joker could be a candidate as well. There isn't gonna be a fanbase that doesn't give a suggestion.

I really don't think this is true, most LSU fans I know knew he was a dud fairly early into his tenure. I wouldn't call him a fraud, per se.
If you want to argue he's a Top 5 WORST coach in the SEC history then that's fair.

Mike Dubose beat Spurrier twice and has and got an SEC title so he isn’t sniffing that list. Now Mike Shula could be in this discussion. Never beat LSU or Auburn.
