They said this about football too, but they actually had a point there because a qb of a 3 loss team won the heisman.

This MUST be why Saban left LSU.

He was embarrassed at the fans for calling 1 natty a dynasty and didn’t want to get ran out of town if he didn’t win in the following year.

Also got tired of seeing Tiger Stadium half-empty in the 3rd quarter if the visiting team led by a field goal, and all the diehard lifelong fans who love the Tigers cus their granddaddy went to college poured out to go look for parking lot fights.

SEC is loaded. Almost all teams have top 40 RPI

Winning the SEC in baseball is a huge accomplishment these days. There’s a lot of talent and parity now that more programs are taking baseball serious outside of LSU, State, USC, Arkansas.

The SEC has 5 of the 6 top teams per RPI. Not only is the league not down, but it’s up from 2023.

If you’re referring to A&M we need a coach. E have more money than God and the truth is A&M hasn’t had a coach worth a shite in a while. We won some due to our cash but the truth is we still need a coach.

Maybe we have that fixed now. Who the hell knows.

We shall see.

SEC titles in a down year aren't very impressive

Just because LSU sucks doesn’t mean the SEC is down. Getting 7-9 bids, and 5 of those with a chance to host a super regional isn’t a down year. 4 of the top 5 teams in the country is from the SEC. Again, that’s not a down year dummy.

quote:

Tenner knows they had a better team last year

Tennessee team last year couldn’t hold a match to this years team. This year team had the 2nd best offensive output in school history with over 9 runs a game. Last years team was 5-10 in SEC at the half way point. We had to go like 11-4 to finish the season to even make the NCAA tournament.

quote:

LSU, Florida, Vandy, etc, all lost tons of talent and it caught up with them when young guys didn't pan out.

Tennessee lost its entire pitching rotation but Beam, and they still had top 10 staff in the country and 2nd best ERA in the SEC. Tennessee had to replace 7 pitchers from last year. They also and to replace 10 player going into last year. And yet both teams still won. Losing talent at top tier schools isn’t an excuse when you recruit at an high level.

quote:

So congrats on one of the more weaker SEC reg season title guys. It's not really up for debate that it's not as impressive.

Top 8 National Seeds:
Tennessee
UK
Arkansas
aTm
Miss State

Locks:
Vandy
UGA
Miss State

Outside chance, but still a chance:
LSU
Alabama
USC
UF

RPI:
1. aTm
2. Ark
3. UK
5. Tennessee
6. UGA
19. Bama
20. USCjr
22. Miss State
25. UF
26. Vandy
29. LSU
33. Ole Miss
38. Auburn

11 teams in the top 30 RPI nationally, but the SEC is “down”? You obviously don’t have a clue. Reason why LSU, UF, and Vandy are not having the years anymore is because the rest of the league is catching up to them. NIL has even the field with Vandy, and now Vandy no longer has the scholarship advantages. Go look at the last 4 recruiting classes for LSU and tell me where they rank at!

You're wrong. The quality of ball isn't the same. No one cares about school history shite with tenner, because your schools baseball history is shite outside of the past 5 years.

No, you don't have a clue. The teams aren't as good this year. The SEC will literally always have most of the top seeds and rpi rankings because they're the best of the best you dumbass. Just because theyre better than some acc and big ten schools doesn't mean the fricking game is being played at a high level.

But hey, you're a tenner fan so you haven't really watched good baseball for a long time so you don't really know. It's all good. I'm happy to educate the ignorant.

What you do is go to the LSU asterisk jar, take one, and stick it on the winner this year. After all, nothing says insecurity quite like an asterisk.

And two of those seeds are nearly undefeated in non conference play. And one actually is.

5 top 8 seeds and when the top three played their non conference schedule (many of these teams that are in the regionals) they beat them.

So, not sure you know what you’re talking about.

I can't speak for Florida and Vandy, have not watched them enough this year, but LSU's young guns and transfers have played well, the issue this year was mistakes at critical times that cost them close games. They have lost 10 games by 2 runs or less, many losing the lead late from miscues, just as they won many last year capitalizing on the other teams mistakes...that's baseball...

This year the SEC is stronger than ever and you can't afford to make mistakes in this league...
