Well, here's my ultimate optimist post. We were never gonna sweep this series or any other. We've all watched our team this season right? If anybody in this faithful group thought we were, you need to go back to sniffing glue. So, we can certainly win the next two because well, LSU sux. Then win one in Hoover and just like that we are in. You know, if that's what we all really want outside rumors that Bianco has booked Two Men and A Truck.

I am still not convinced we get in even if all that happens.
We have so many crappy midweek losses and in conference run rule blowouts.. I know we have a high SOS and RPI and blah blah blah but they play like arse more often than actually playing good. Flirting with .500.
They don’t deserve an at large bid .

We have scored 3 runs in our last 3 conference games. We have scored 7 runs in our last 4 games, all of them losses. We are 2-6 in our last 8 games.
And we are actually pitching better in the past month than we have all season.
That's how bad we are.

If there's any justice in the world, yes they will.
I honestly think it's a good thing that we could be looking for a coach before State is looking for their next coach.
Seems like a relatively stable year for coaches in the SEC.
Missouri coach is brand new. Florida had a down year but their coach is literally signed through 2033 or something like that.
Butch Thompson at Auburn is at the end of his contract (I think), and he makes $1.25mm a year, and they suck. So Auburn could be functionally the only other team looking for a new coach. But we are a better program with better facilities, atmosphere, etc. So I don't see a coach choosing Auburn over Ole Miss.
This may be as good of a window to get Godwin as we have ever had. He has MS ties, he makes $500k a year, and Greenville, NC isn't exactly Nashville. We can offer a better program at a comparable small town college environment, and triple his salary.....There's no reason we can't go get him.
