It was a ugly win but I'll take the win. Next weekend is huge. Our pitchers have to bring their A game as Georgia has a damn good offense. If we win 2 I think that locks us in as a host. Very disappointed in our pitching staff this week

I just want to note that the relivers were fantastic. Ty Good was incredible in relief of Kimball. Gainey gave up only 2 hits in 6 innings of work with 10 strikeouts. Veach with his clutch K in the bot 8th yesterday secured a win if another delay happened. The relief pitchers were fantastic.
Starting pitching was putrid though.

One game it's the starters another it's the relief pitching then the next week it's the hitters. Inconsistent is a sign of poor coaching

I mean...we also have played a crazy tough schedule and are in the running for a national seed so that is on coaching too.

Great win vs Winthrop. The bats will have to be that hot again going forward into the next two weekends.

Last week D1 has us as the #10 seed but after winning 3 out of 4 games they dropped us to #16 due to our inconsistent play at Missouri. We have a chance to lock in as a host this weekend.

2 of 3 I think would lock us back in, and I think would push us back to where 2 of 3 at UT puts us into national seed fringe.

The Roman Kimball experiment has to stop. Let the kid work in relief, get some confidence then try again later.
That said, we pitched our worst, they pitched their best. The team never gave up. I have hope these next two games

We are being embarrassed in our own stadium. The product Kingston is putting out is not worthy of wearing a South Carolina uniform.
Unless there is a miracle in the next 4 games we have lost our chance to host. Kingston has to go. Fans are leaving and not showing up. Anybody that wants to keep Kingston does not understand Gamecock baseball.

82 wins 93 losses in SEC play for the current HC - and counting -
MK is 58-57 in the SEC since his program worst-ever 8-22 SEC record in year 2 -
the intangibles & instincts that have fueled Gamecock baseball for decades are no longer present within the program - effectively coached out through data and apparently a very expensive pitching lab -
the current roster is talented enough to yield better results - and even have a little fun doing it - hate it for the players as most all appear to be good guys who seem over-burdened trying to please this coaching staff - more so than just play go play baseball -

I never wish for us to lose and I won't this coming weekend but Kingston doesn't have a clue and has zero emotions so I won't care if we do lose if it means he is gone.

Normally I would agree with you but the multiple games with empty seats might be enough this time. Tanner may have the choice made for him.
