Hi all. First time coming to SC for a game this weekend

Any tips for where to stay/how to get tickets and parking during gameday to get to the stadium?

Must eat food places?

I’m just kinda winging this

It's going to be really hot.

All hotels are booked within reasonable range but you might luck out and find one out around Harbison on Columbiana Drive and just Uber or Lyft to the game for ten bucks.

Get there very early or expect traffic. Noon minimum.

Plenty of good places to eat in The Vista. Also out around Harbison.

Use Gametime for tickets. Scalpers around the stadium may have a few but they'll be expensive.

Parking is plentiful if you are willing to walk a bit. Most spots are leased well in advance. You'll see signs offering spots for between $20-$30. You can also look for a spot downtown and then shuttle to the stadium.

Bernie's Chicken. Right there basically in the shadow of Willy B. To-die-for chicken.

Yes, we feast on chicken before we play. We're cannibalistic like that.

You don't have reservations for a hotel room yet?? I'd jump online real quick. Or you can try the blue door motel in Cola that's routinely featured on LivePD. It'll be entertaining, at least.

There are some good hotels in Charlotte.

Buy tickets off those guys riding the bicycles outside the stadium.

I recommend parking up on North Main Street and walking to the stadium

Food:
-Saluda’s in 5 Points, sit at the bar with Chris. He makes a great peach Old Fashioned. Probably my favorite restaurant, food wise, in Columbia but it is a little expensive, around $30-$40 for an entree.
-Il Giorgione on Devine St is hands down my favorite restaurant in Columbia. Once again, sit at the bar with Dave. Start with the bruschetta, it’s always amazing. The Rigatoni al Dorado will never let you down. My wife and I are there every Friday.
-I have heard mixed reviews about The Black Rooster, a new French-inspired restaurant, but everyone says the food is great and it’s the service that is lacking. Menu looks amazing.
-If you want a GREAT pulled pork BBQ sandwich then go to Southern Belly in 5 Points. Probably the best bbq sandwiches I’ve ever had.

-If you’re looking for bars, the Vista is chocked full of them. Not much of my scene anymore, but there’s a lot. I’d probably stay away from 5 Points unless you're in college.

If you get there early, parking at the fairgrounds is an easy walk to the Stadium, but the lots full up quick. There are always scalpers around outside the stadium.
