If tweet fails to load, click here. Russell hasn’t pitched since mid March and will now finally get back on the mound. This will be big if he can stay healthy headed into the regionals. He was the Vols Friday night starter till he went out with arm tightness for a 2nd time.

He has had arm tightness twice this year and has missed like 75% of the season due to it. Vitello and Anderson don’t play with arm tightness, as they have shown with him this year. Figure he has another episode or arm tightness, they will shut him down for the year.

Sounds like a matter of when, not if. Every pitchers elbow is a ticking time bomb.
