My son’ll play SEC football and he’s been committed since before his Jr season. He very much wants to be on that team until he graduates or turns pro. Now, shite happens…having transfers available allows him to either move with the coordinator or follow an analyst if they get a coordinator position.
Young kids are more fans of individual players than we were at their age…but that’s something totally different (ESPN pushing Heisman all year, social media…IDK)
I wish there was no consensus national championship…I like the bowl tie-ins we had when I was at LSU (92-00). Seems like I’m in a small minority there, probably couldn’t even explain to my son why it was better (and have him understand) just because things are so different.

I went to two schools, Texas and Stanford. As a Texas fan, college football isn't remotely ruined.
As a Stanford fan, it's not ruined. It's just is tenuous and likely to go away, which sucks.
